Overview
This 14-day China tour offers an immersive journey through the country’s vibrant cities, cultural landmarks, and natural wonders. Starting in Shanghai, experience the city’s modern skyline and high-speed train travel before embarking on a scenic Yangtze River Cruise with excursions to the Three Gorges Dam, Shennong Stream, and Snow Jade Cave. Fly to Zhangjiajie to explore Baofeng Lake, the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, Avatar Mountains, and Tianmen Mountain. Continue to Xi’an to witness the Terracotta Warriors and traditional crockery craftsmanship, then conclude in Beijing with visits to the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven, and bustling markets. This tour blends history, culture, modernity, and stunning landscapes for a complete China experience.
Itinerary
On arrival at the Shanghai Airport, you will be greeted by your friendly Tour Manager / local representative outside the Arrival Hall area at the airport. Transfer to the hotel & check-in. (Standard Check in time after 1500Hrs).
Rest of the day is at leisure.

- Packed dinner would be provided in case of late arrivals of flight or long queue at the immigration.
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Shanghai Station to board the high-speed train to Yichang. Upon arrival in Yichang, continue to the cruise pier for check-in.
After breakfast on the cruise, Enjoy a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Site managed by the cruise, then sail through the Xiling Gorge with scenic views from the open deck or your cabin window. Additionally, you may opt for paid optional excursions such as the Three Gorges Dam Ship Lift experience or a visit to the Tribe of the Three Gorges by paying directly at the Cruise Shore Excursion counter.
After breakfast on the cruise, Enjoy an excursion to Shennong Stream; depending on river conditions, this may be substituted with an excursion to Goddess Stream. Additionally, you may opt for the paid optional shore excursion to White Emperor City by paying directly at the Cruise Shore Excursion counter.
After breakfast on the cruise, Enjoy an excursion to Snow Jade Cave managed by the cruise, and additionally, you may opt for the paid optional shore excursion to Mt. Wuling Great Rift Valley including lunch on shore by paying directly at the Cruise Shore Excursion counter.
This morning after breakfast, after disembarking from the cruise, enjoy a photo stop at Kuixing Tower Square, a unique landmark in Chongqing where Kuixinglou offers breathtaking views of the city’s dramatic elevation changes from its rooftop plaza. Continue to Liziba Station for another photo stop, renowned as China’s first overhead light-rail station built directly through a residential building, it is a must see spot where the train appears to disappear into the block of flats as it passes through. Following the sightseeing, proceed to Chongqing Airport and board your flight to Shanghai.
This morning after breakfast, begin with a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple, a serene Chinese Buddhist sanctuary that houses two exquisite jade Buddha statues brought from Burma as well as numerous cultural relics, offering a peaceful retreat from Shanghai’s modern bustle and a chance to witness monks performing traditional ceremonies. We then continue to Jin Mao Tower to enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree view of the iconic Shanghai skyline from the 88th floor. Afterwards, visit Silk Factory to learn about China’s traditional silk-making process. Spend free time at Yuyuan Market - also known as Yuyuan Bazaar - located in the heart of Old Shanghai near the Old City God Temple, where traditional Chinese architecture surrounds a vibrant collection of shops selling local snacks, handicrafts, jewelry, souvenirs, antiques, and more. Conclude the day with a visit to an Acrobatic Show, showcasing the remarkable skill and artistry of Chinese acrobats.
This morning, begin your day with a ride on the Shanghai Maglev, the world’s first commercial high-speed magnetic levitation train, which uses German Transrapid technology to connect Pudong International Airport with Longyang Road Station, it covers the 30-kilometer distance in just about eight minutes. Later, board your flight from Shanghai to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival in Zhangjiajie, enjoy a serene boat ride on Baofeng Lake, a beautifully scenic experience that takes you across crystal-clear waters surrounded by dramatic rock formations and lush mountains, offering a tranquil introduction to the region’s breathtaking natural landscape.
This morning after breakfast, begin with a photo stop at the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, an attraction built for visitors and famed for its transparent, glass-bottomed design, which, upon opening, held the record as the world’s longest and tallest glass-bottom bridge. Then continue to Zhangjiajie Forest Park, a national park renowned for its towering, pillar-like sandstone formations that inspired the ‘Avatar Mountains,’ and conclude the day with the optional Charms Xiangxi Show.

This morning after breakfast, Begin with a Visit to Tianmen Mountain in Tianmen National Park, revered as the very soul of Zhangjiajie, where its towering, mist-covered presence creates a breathtaking sight, and experience it up close by riding the scenic cable car ropeway and viewing the dramatic road that winds toward the summit, famously known as China’s ‘Heaven’s Gate’ for the way it appears to ascend into the sky, before concluding the day with a flight from Zhangjiajie to Xi’an.
This morning after breakfast, begin with a visit to a Crockery Factory to observe traditional craftsmanship and understand the intricate processes behind China’s renowned ceramic and porcelain production. Continue to the Terracotta Warriors Pit, where thousands of life-sized clay soldiers stand as enduring guardians of Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s tomb - an extraordinary archaeological discovery that reflects the power, artistry, and legacy of China’s first emperor. After the visit, proceed to Xian station to board the high-speed train from Xian to Beijing.
This morning after breakfast, begin with a visit to the Great Wall of China at the Badaling Section, where a two-way return ground cable car allows you to comfortably experience one of the most magnificent and best-preserved portions of this ancient wonder, symbolizing China’s enduring strength and historical significance. Continue to a Jade Factory to learn about the cultural importance of jade in Chinese tradition and witness the craftsmanship involved in shaping this treasured stone. Conclude with a hutong tour which is a popular way to explore the traditional, narrow alleyways of old Beijing, which are lined with historic courtyard homes known as siheyuan and picturesque Houhai Lake. Discover the charms of Beijing's old hutong streets in a rickshaw.
This morning after breakfast, begin with a visit to Tiananmen Square, one of the world’s largest public squares and a symbol of China’s national pride and historical significance. Continue to the Forbidden City, the grand imperial palace complex at the heart of Beijing, which served as the residence of 24 Ming and Qing emperors. Next, visit the Temple of Heaven, an important imperial religious complex where Ming and Qing emperors conducted annual ceremonies to pray to Heaven for good harvests, reflecting ancient Chinese cosmology and ritual tradition. Conclude the day with free time at Hongqiao Market, known for its vibrant collection of shops offering pearls, handicrafts, souvenirs, and a variety of local goods.

Physical Activity Requirements:
- Please note that many days on this tour involve a considerable amount of walking, often through large historical sites, museums, city squares, and railway stations. Guests should be prepared for moderate to extensive walking and are advised to wear comfortable footwear throughout the journey.
Power Bank Regulations in China:
- China follows strict safety regulations for electronic devices. If you plan to carry a power bank, it must be CCC (China Compulsory Certification) certified. Non-certified power banks may be confiscated during security checks at airports before boarding any domestic flight.
Liquid Restrictions at Railway Stations:
- For travel through Chinese railway stations, liquid allowances are more restrictive than airports. You are not permitted to carry liquids exceeding 100 ml (or 150 grams) per bottle, and bottles larger than this limit may be denied at security checkpoints.

- Visa & Airport taxes (Any further increase in the same must be borne by the guest).
- Cost of the ticket taxes for the above itinerary as of 1st Nov 2025Medical insurance for the duration of the tour is included in the tour price. However, any passenger above the age of 60 years and those who wish to extend their stay will be required to pay additional charges.

- Cruise Gratuity of USD 22 per person (applicable for cruise holidays)
- The cost of deviation, if you want to deviate from the group departure dates will be at an additional cost.

- Cost of deviation will be advised on confirmation of the deviation date, in case you want to deviate from the group departure dates mentioned in the brochure.
- Cost of Basic Travel Quota equivalent to USD 2,50,000.

- The cost of airfare included in the above tour cost is based on the fare structure existing as on 1st June 2025. Any further increase in the airfare due to an increase in the fuel price, change in Government regulations, taxes, etc., charged by the airline will have to be borne by the passengers and the company will not be held responsible for the same
- Any increase in the rate of exchange leading to increase in surface transportation and land arrangements which may come into effect prior to departure.
