After a pickup from Pangkalan Bun airport or hotel, embark on a scenic boat journey through the Sekonyer River’s mangroves to Tanjung Harapan Camp, where you’ll enjoy close encounters with wild orangutans and other primates. On day two, visit Pondok Tanggui and Camp Leakey to witness orangutan feeding sessions and explore the lush forest trails, ending the day with a magical firefly viewing at the Nipah Palm Area. On the final day, after breakfast, return by boat to Kumai and transfer to Pangkalan Bun Airport, concluding your unforgettable wildlife experience.

Day 01 :

AIRPORT-KUMAI-TANJUNGHARAPAN

After being picked up from the airport or your hotel in Pangkalan Bun, you'll take a 30-minute taxi ride to Kumai, passing through several villages. At around 11:00, your boat journey begins up the Sekonyer River, where you'll explore mangroves, nipah palms, and local wildlife while lunch is prepared on board. Get ready for an unforgettable encounter with orangutans at Tanjung Harapan Camp after a short trek through the Borneo jungle—perfect photo moments include feeding times and spotting wild orangutans swinging through the trees. In the late afternoon, you’ll observe proboscis monkeys and other primates before spending the night on the boat.

Day 02 :

PONDOKTANGGUI -CAMPLEAKEY- NIPAHAREA

After an early breakfast, you’ll take a boat to Pondok Tanggui Camp to witness the orangutan feeding around 9 AM. Upon arrival, enjoy a walk to the feeding area, followed by a short trek through the forest. Next, you’ll cruise for about 1.5 to 2 hours by boat to Camp Leakey. After lunch, there’s time for another short trek or a visit to the information center before watching the orangutans’ feeding session around 2 PM. Later, the boat slowly takes you down to the Nipah Palm Area, where, weather permitting, you can enjoy the magical sight of fireflies at night. Along the way, keep an eye out for monkeys, birds, and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay will be on the boat.

Day 03 :

KUMAI-PANGKALANBUN
