Midnight Sun Special – Arctic Wonder Norway & Finland

The Tour Manager / Station Manager / Local representative will meet you outside the airport. Proceed to the hotel and check–in.

Today, we visit the Sommaroy Island: a charming fishing village outside Kvaløya in Northern Norway, known for its beautiful beaches. Next, visit Polaria – an Arctic Experience and the perfect place to meet and understand life in the Arctic. Later, we proceed for an Orientation tour of Tromso: known for its role as a gateway to the Arctic. Later in the evening, take a cable car to Fjellheisen and enjoy a spectacular view of Tromsø and its beautiful surroundings from above and experience the unique Midnight sun phenomenon.

Today, we proceed for an Orientation tour of Alta, a town on Norway’s northern coast, at the head of Alta Fjord. Next,  we visit the Cathedral of The Northern Lights –  a modern architectural marvel designed to reflect the beauty of the Northern Lights.

Today, we drive towards Honningsvag – the northernmost city of mainland Norway and serves as a gateway to the iconic North Cape. There is free time to explore this beautiful town. After dinner, we proceed to Nordkapp – the northern most part of Europe to experience the Midnight Sun phenomenon.

Today, we drive to Karasjok and we visit the Sami Settlement: Karasjok is a prominent Sami settlement in Norway and is considered the capital of the indigenous Sami people. Here we experience a close, genuine and thorough insight into the Sami culture and its traditions. We also demonstrate the everyday life in reindeer herder, the nomadic lifestyle, and how the old traditions are being preserved. We also visit the Sametinget.

Today, we proceed to Rovaniemi. Enroute, we stop at the Northern Lights village for lunch. We, continue our journey to Rovaniemi and check into the hotel.  After dinner, we proceed for Arctic Lake Floating Experience which is a unique, serene activity where you float in the water while wearing a special, high-quality rescue suit that keeps you completely dry, warm, and buoyant, allowing you to relax and see the Midnight sun, and experience profound silence and weightlessness.

Today, we start with a visit to the reindeer and husky farms. Meet the authentic reindeer herder and take photos of the reindeer.  Next, we visit the Arktikum Science Museum, and see the exhibition that showcases the Arctic Centre's research findings, which deal with issues like climate change and life today in the Arctic region. Later, we visit the Santa Claus Village and the numerous souvenir shops, Santa's Post Office and surely, we get to meet the man himself in his office.

Today, drive to the airport to take the flight back to Helsinki. In Helsinki - proceed on a guided city tour of Helsinki: See the Senate Square, visit Lutheran Temppeliaukio Church, Sibelius Park and many more interesting sights.

Today, we check out and drive to the airport on your own for your flight back home. It’s time to say goodbye to all the new friends you have made. • The midnight sun is a natural phenomenon that occurs during the summer in places north of the Arctic Circle.  The position of the Midnight Sun will vary basis on the location of the city and date of travel. 
• In major European cities, there are parking restrictions for coaches and it is not possible to stop at all the places during the city tour. Your Tour Manager will try his/her best to stop coach wherever possible for a photo stop.
